Basic Technology & Products Online Sales Training

This online training package is available on Intermec University and consists of technology, product and application information in the areas of In-Field, In-Premise, Printer and RFID Systems. There is an assessment available for each technology area which must be passed in order to gain Accreditation. These training modules are aimed at individuals involved in sales of AIDC solutions.

Basic Technology and Products Training is accessed via Intermec University, and can be completed at any time. It is also free of charge to our PartnerNet Partners.

Please note, you must have the required number of individuals Accredited in Basic Technology & Products Online Sales Training by 30th September 2010 to continue receiving your PartnerNet Program benefits.

Individuals are required to pass one of the online assessments listed below to meet the Sales Accreditation requirements of the PartnerNet programme.

Before using the resources available on Intermec University it is necessary to register. Visit www.intermecuniversity.com to register. Registrations will only be validated for users with a corporate email address.

Within 48 hours of registration applicants will receive a unique login and password allowing access to the Intermec University EMEA Partner web site.

Partner Assessments

All the Basic Technology and Products Sales Training Assessments are available online at Intermec University. Assessment results will be recorded automatically and you will be notified of the result on screen.

All Basic Technology and Products assessments are delivered in English and are ‘open book’, individuals may have as many attempts as is necessary to pass. There is no time limit on the assessments and the pass mark is 70%. If you have any queries please contact us.

Target Group

Individuals who need to learn more about Intermec RFID readers, antennas and tags and the underlying technologies used in an RFID solution.

Course Objectives

 

Participants will gain an understanding of the different types of RFID technology. They will learn about industry protocols and standards relating to RFID and the relative advantages and disadvantages associated with them. They will review the Intermec RFID product range.

Target Group

Individuals who need to learn more about mobile technology and the Intermec product set, designed to provide complete end user solutions in mobile application areas.

Course Objectives

 

Participants will gain an understanding of the technology components used to build an In-Field solution. They will learn about the underlying industry standard technologies such as WLAN, WWAN and Bluetooth®, as well as the Intermec products used in mobile solutions.

A separate assessment is available to allow participants to check their understanding against key concepts.
